Superior Performance

› Self adjusting, spring-mounted ball pivot with machined flat disc provides reliable sealing performance

› Spring-loaded packing design maintains uniform pressure on the packing during operation, preventing leakage and extending the life of the shaft and packing

› Large throat allows high material flow rates and reduces possibility of plugging

Longer Service Life

› DURITE® or optional tungsten carbide disc and seat provide superior wear resistance

› Single through-bolt disc with ball pivot assures proper alignment and sealing

› Metal backed polymer bearing has a higher temperature rating and extended wear performance

Simple and Easy Maintenance

› Removable bearing cartridges are easy to service, rebuild and replace

› Access covers allow adjustments and maintenance to be performed in place

› Retrofit kits available to upgrade previous valve designs

Optional Components

› Actuator options: rotary vane or air cylinder

› Actuator guard for personnel protection

› Extended grease fittings and actuator extensions for insulated valves

› Roller lever type and proximity limit switches with pre-drilled brackets for easy installation

› Solenoid valve options: Direct mounted or pre-piped without solenoid using brass fittings and rubber hoses

› Disc and seat options: DURITE®, Tungsten Carbide, Viton lined steel

  1. What applications can the DEPAC Inlet Valve used for?[+]

This valve was designed for vessel isolation service in high pressure pneumatic conveying applications of dry ash and other abrasive materials. The body is rated for pressures up to 9 bar [130.5 psi] and temperatures of 300°C [572°F]. The body is a single piece fabricated design that complies with PED, ASME, and CSA codes.

  2. What types of disc and seat material does UCC offer? [+]

This valve has three different disc and seat material options; Viton® lined steel construction, DURITE® and Tungsten Carbide.

**Viton is a registered trademark of DuPont Performance Elastomers.

  3. Is UCC’s DEPAC Inlet Valve a direct replacement for the Fläkt Dust Inlet Valves? [+]

In the majority of cases, it’s a drop in replacement. UCC also offer retrofit kits which are in-stock and available for immediate delivery worldwide.

  4. Can the disc and seat be replaced while gate is installed in the line? [+]

Yes, this valve has two access ports, 6” X 11” oval and 6” round, to allow the maintenance personnel change the disc and seat and make adjustments to the internals.

  5. What is the minimum air pressure required to actuate these valves?[+]

The operating range for the air cylinder is 80-100 PSI.

  6. What accessories can be ordered on these valves?[+]

The DEPAC Inlet Valves can be specified with:

    • Rotary vane or air cylinder actuators,

    • Direct mount or a pre-piped standalone solenoid valves,

    • Roller lever type or proximity limit switches.

Ordering a fully assembled valve significantly reduces field assembly time and installation expenses.
