United Conveyor Corporation was founded in 1920. During that time, need for electricity quickly increased throughout the United States, elevating the demand for coal-fired power plants and ash handling solutions.
In response to these industry changes, UCC president, Mr. Edgar B. Tolman pioneered new technology in pneumatic conveying and introduced the NUVEYOR® Vacuum System. The NUVEYOR Vacuum System was the first of its kind and was instrumental in sustaining the company through the Great Depression.
